Wheatland Athletic Scholarship  Description

The Wheatland Athletic Association is offering two $500 scholarships to Metea Valley High School graduating seniors. This is our way of recognizing the outstanding young people we have in our community.

Wheatland Athletic Association offers recreational, competitive and travel programs in soccer, baseball, softball and basketball, as well as flag football leagues and numerous camps and clinics. Participants range in age from 18 months through adult. WAA works to create an atmosphere where children, teens and adults learn the values of good sportsmanship and teamwork.
WAA also offers various employment opportunities. Many of you have been umpires, referees, hall monitors or linesmen. Perhaps you have even volunteered your time as a coach or worker at our office or tryouts. If you have been a part of Wheatland Athletic Association as a participant, worker or volunteer, we want you to apply!
2 scholarship(s) available for $500 each.

Scholarship Requirements:
  • To be eligible for the WAA scholarship you must have participated with WAA, either as an athlete, student-worker, or volunteer

The mentioned organizations have agreed to provide scholarships to IPSD seniors and/or Metea Valley seniors. Each organization will look at the information from the Metea Unified Application, along with any required supplements for the particular awards.  Some organizations require transcripts, which will automatically be sent to the requesting organizations.   The criteria/selection for each award is left to the individual organizations. The number of awards and amounts are subject to change at the discretion of the donating organizations. All scholarships are one-time awards, and will be given to recipients after they have been accepted at any accredited college, university, or technical/vocational school. In most cases, the scholarships will be paid directly to the winners after educational plans for the upcoming fall have been verified. All winners will be awarded at our Black and Gold Senior Awards Event in May. If you are having difficulty with your computer and compatibility to this site, please visit the College and Career Center and fill out the application there.
